yes DH+ protocol over rs 232. both devices end device only has rs 232 port for DH+

What is this end device that only has a RS232 port with DH+ protocol?
You can not configure the SLC5/04's serial port for DH+.
The older PLC5's ( classics) had a 9 pin port that was DH+.
Is that what you have?
