Hi, we are using a compact flash card to collect data on our pv+ 1000.We have set up the logging model path to custom and the path is \Storage Card2\data. We are not getting any data after restarting the application, also no errors. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance Phil

I have considered using the datalogging feature with the PV+. Before I use anything but the most basic stuff on a FTView programmed HMI, I always read the technotes at ab.com. Luckily, we have techconnect access so we can see all of them.

What I read, was that there are at least a few situations in which the datalog will not start, and the Panelview may not notify you.

Has the datalog worked in the past?

Are you trying to log digital tags? If so, use an analog tag pointing to a digital address.

Does the PV+ recoginize you card? To find out, try copying the .mer file to it.

What version of FactoryBalk are you running? What PLC model(s) are you connected to?

Do you have a diagnostics screen set up in the application? It should tell you when the datalog fails. If diagnostics is not configured, you will never know it failed.

Hope this helps,
Paul
