I have a SD card with a program I would like to retrieve but it is in firmware 13.40 and all I can seem to find on Rockwell's website is 13.44. does anybody know where I might be able to find the firmware for 13.40 for the 1756-L61 Controller?

I assume you mean a CompactFlash (CF) card, not a Secure Digital (SD) card.
The minor revision should not matter when restoring from a CF card. Do you get an error when attempting to restore the project to the controller ? What is the error message in RSLogix 5000 ?
