Any one used GEM 80/p80 ?

Bad/good/likes/dislikes ?

What they like compared to siemens / Ab ?

Looking at quoting an upcoming job with some already onsite ?

What network protocl do they use as a standard?

I used GEM80's years ago, they are simple to use. I'd have no problem using them if they are already on site.

We have a couple of gem80-500's on site. They have on-board ethernet which we've got hooked up to iFix using an MBE driver (modbus ethernet).
Like star_watcher said they're pretty simple to use. Certainly not my favourite PLC. We use AGPV3.5 software to program them which has improved but still pretty annoying.
