Hi all,
This is my 1st post.I am planning to change my computer and my supplier says that there is no support for com port in new motherboards for i3 / i5 / i7 processors. Is this true ?
THANKS

Perhaps on laptops. My desktops all have true com ports. For the laptops, I just use the Keyspan USB to Serial adapter, and it works fine.

On one laptop, that has no built in COM ports, I have one on the docking station.

actually my question is about desk top only.according to him there is no support for com port on desk top mother boards of i3 and above so we can not connect PLC using com port.If so,now we need PLCs with USB!!

THANKS
P S Bhavsar.
