Hi I am trying to make a button conditionally visible.

The condition for visibility is that a string type tag LOR should have the value 2.

The expression I entered is LOR == 2. The syntax is deemed valid. However when I test the screen I get an error "Unable to activate connection : LOR == 2".

Am I missing something and what is the suggestion to get around this?

Best,

Welcome to the Forum !

What HMI software platform is this ? The syntax sounds like Rockwell Software's FactoryTalk View Studio, but it might be anything.

In general I don't use Strings in expressions like this, but rather use integers and boolean tags. My guess is that the "2" might need to be enclosed in quotation marks to be considered a String.
