Not sure if I have this right, but I have a 1747-SN in a SLC rack in slot 5. RIO to a 1794-ASB. Configured for 230 kbaud.

The ASB has 1 8 point in and 1 8 point out. I have the SN configured for RACK 1 full. The ASB module has an active light flashing green and power on solid, no other lights or faults.

Is this correct or am I missing something.

In general, I would expect a 1797-ASB with just one 8-point Input and one 8-point Output to represent "1/4 Rack", not a "Full Rack".

Go ahead and try configuring the 1747-SN's "G-File" to scan that adapter as a "1/4 Rack".

If that doesn't do the trick, I would want to see a screenshot of the G-File configuration window (or the *.RSS file for the SLC-5/04), a description of what error is seen on the 1747-SN, a verified wiring diagram, and the full DIP switch array settings on the 1794-ASB Adapter.
