1761-NET-ENI setup

Have 1761-NET-ENI module Series C to connect to 1500 Ulogix.
This module was previously talking to PLC through it's serial port but has been powered off for years.

The plc Is still in run mode with a running program.

Do I take the utility ENIW to assign IP or do I use bootp as normal to the 1761

I would use the utility to assign IP because if it currently has an IP then the BooTP would be disabled.

Use the Utility to communicated with the NET-ENI serially. I find this is the easiest and quickest way.
