siemens s7 200 cp243-1

Hi Guys,

Can anyone give me an example of configuration for the above ethernet module, i have tried to configure it but cannot see it on my network even though the program says it is connected with the set ip address a gave it, i want to connect to wonderware direct but need this cp234-1 on my network before a can continue.

i have been able to connect my laptop directly with the cp243-1 but when i go through a switch and onto a pc or directly to a pc the connection fails and i cannot ping, any help would be great..

BTW cable is straigth through connection and laptop dell.
