PV1000Touch Screen

Hi there
Recently we had a problem with our (HMI)PV1000 Touch panel. The cost to get one is much higher as we need software as well as new panel. Is someone there with a knowledge to go aroung this by changing pv1000 with a proface for which I have the software.
CAn some one explain how difficult this will be as the CPU is a SLC503. How will I be able to do this without much difficulty in merging the configuration assigned I/O numbers.

Unless you already have a copy of the HMI program and FT View Studio software to see the current tags/addressing then this is going to be extremely difficult.

What firmware revision is the old panel? Does it still turn on? If it still turns on then you may be able to get someone in to extract the program, convert to new firmware to run on a new PV+, then download straight in. Should only take a couple of hours.

Edit: I mistakenly assumed you were talking about a Panelview Plus. Looks like you have an older Panelview from your description. Advice still stands though - it's going to be extremely difficult to re-engineer onto a different brand HMI. I would be looking to get a copy of the original HMI program then get someone in to transfer to the new Panelview.

Hi Brendon
I am able to turn the screen ON but it just goes to config mode and you can not load any program on the screen but using PC I downloaded the old program and its working fine ... I am still in doubt weather this was just one of clichés or something yet to go wrong still.
I would like to take precaution and change the touch panel view. Yes it is old and obsolete now so I would like to go for something cheaper like proface but want to know if it is going to be a very difficult task. I do have the old configuration and setting with all tags but want to know how easily I can replace this with Proface or any other HMI.
