PLC beginner here, so sorry if this is an obvious question.

I require my PLC to carry out certain tasks on particular days of the month (specifically to send out an email on 1st of every month. I am also reading up on how to send emails and that looks quite straightforward...)

Short of writing a load of logic to count seconds, turn that into hours, then days, and having a look-up table to keep track of what month and how many days etc.... Is there any way to simply record the date?

Thanks!
