CompactLogix 1768L43 with two 1768-ENBT

Hi. We have CompactLogix PLC 1768-L43 with two 1768-ENBT modules. One ENBT is configured for local network with VFD's and HMI, default IP is 192.168.100.1. Second ENBT is not used. Can we use second ENBT for client network connection with different IP like 192.100.100.1. Thanks for any info. Alex

Welcome to the Forum !

In terms of IP address and subnet, the 1768-ENBT modules are completely independent.

It is very common to have one configured for a private IP network running I/O and automation devices, and have another configured for an IP address on the business/enterprise network.

Thanks a lot. So it is correct statement that two ENBT modules can have two totally different IP addresses, like one starts from 199.x.x.x and another 10.x.x.x? And both can be used to access PLC. Alex
