Hello everyone. My first tread. I am not a big specialist with PLC, but I have some experience, a little.
For our new project we have two 1336T Force drives with ControlNet adapters and two motors. Say simple, first motor feed the paper using the pool roll with defined speed, second one running rotating knifes to cut the paper right size. Speed command for the first, master motor, comes from another part of this big machine. Speed Command for rotating knife is directly proportional to both, master motor external reference, and ratio set point (size of the sheet).The bigger ratio for knife, the longer cut supposed to be(knife is running slower). So my final ratio will be always less than 1, if I understand wright. I think, I can use feedback encoder from master motor for knife reference and some ratio to get this done, and function blocks Pi and SCRV in RSLogix 5000. From HMI, I think, I can change the ratio for different size of paper. I made function block diagram, but nothing come out from PI output, plus I am not sure, if I configure the function blocks wright. Master motor base speed 1710RPM. Knife base speed 2500 RPM. Feedback encoders are 2048 PPR. For the drives data type is INT. I have 1756-rm006-em-p manual, but some parameters I don’t understand.
