Hello, friends.. I made a post over at MrPLC.net and I didn't get an answer so here I am.. I'm just gonna copy my post over here :

First thing first, I'm using a CP1L-L and I'm trying to figure out how to read/where are stored internal address (or absolute mem. address) .. I uploaded a PNG to point out which actual address I am trying to read (address 50 which is related to HSC0)..

I came across another thread simillar to this one and couldn't find what I was actually looking for : http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?showtopic=19190
I am actually trying to do the same (reading the address) but with address 50..

If you need any other info just ask I'll be around.. thanks :)

Hello,

I am not sure what you are attempting to do. The HSC data is in the CIO memory area. Section 2-2. Maybe I am missing something.

I am trying to read these PLC setting** via absolute memory address (the picture I posted in the other thread are the address I am trying to read).. I tried doing some operation with DR and IR and I can't seem to get anything back from it...

Yes I already tried doing something with this with no result.. let me show you !

I'm setting IR3 to 0 and writting my "internal address" in DR3 then I put them in D9500 and I get no result.. I don't know if I'm doing it good but I think that's the way !!

Someone from omron told me what I wanted to do was doable via fins command.. I looked through them a little bit and can't figure which one to use.. I might not have the right manual if someone could give me a hand !

I'll explain exactly what I am trying to do to make it simple.. I am counting flow of water with the high speed counter using a paddle wheel and the HSC input.. We had some issue with one of our system where someone forgot to transfer setting when uploading the program therefore, the HSC wasnt "activated" and it wasn't tested properly..

I am making modification to avoid this and make the testing phase easier for the tech guys.. I made a "test button" on my screen for low freq. that just simulate flow of water by pulsing every sec. when I hold the button on my HMI.. My problem here is that I can't simulate the high freq. because it's an input.. I thought about reading the setting from address &50 to see if the setting are right (see if the program as been transferred successfully) but didn't succeed doing so.. Someone told me I could do something with the fins command but I don't think there's a command to do what I want..

I don't know if this was clear enough for you guys so if you've got question just ask me !!

Well that's clear to me to be honest.. I'm not native english so I'm expressing myself the best I can haha !

osmanmom: I'm not sure I quite follow you here..

danatomega: I would do that but the FB use a fins command 0601 which is CPU UNIT STATUS READ.. I don't know of a fins command that do what I want
