PanelView 600

I just purchase an AB Panel View 600 CAT# 2711-T6C5L1 I have been trying to communicate with it using cable 2711-N13 no luck when I turn the Panel View on it shows DH485 on the screen also I don't know if 2711-N13 cable it's for communication between PLC & Panel View or if it can also be use to program the Panel View? Which driver do I need to use? I was using DF1 driver the reason that I used DF1 is because it Shows DF1/485.I really don't know if I have the right cable,driver.Any help will be very apreciated.

Hi, your 2711-T6C5L1 uses DH-485 protocol, but implemented on a point to point RS-232 physical connection.

This means you will need to set RSLinx to the 1747-PIC/AIC+ DH485 driver and connect directly to the PC COM port.

Similarly the connection to the PLC will be point to point and the Ch0 port will need to be configured to DH-485 with the correct baud rate (usually 19.k) and a unique node address.

If you want to program the PLC and the PanelView via the same connection you will either need to set up a 1761-AIC+ to allow multiple nodes on the DH-485 segment, OR set up the Pass-Thru functionalilty of the PLC processor and connect to the PanelView from the other port on the PLC (ie DH+, Ethernet)

The 2711-Nc13 is the correct cable.
