simatic s5 plc

dear sir,

i have using 4 year off machine in which simatic s5 100u is there.
the machine is no back up battery. pls tell me how i run plc. i just new battery & put in them.
pls suggest how i run the machine.
there is any step then tell me.

Is there an EPROM/EEPROM in the memory slot?

If so,
1 - Turn PLC Power Off
2 - Hold the COPY switch down
3 - Turn PLC Power ON (keep holding COPY DOWN)
4 - Wait till LED Flickers, then Release the COPY key

Then you should be able to flip the switch to RUN.

If there is no EPROM/EEPROM, you will need the program, a programming terminal/software, and an RS232 to Current Loop converter, as with no EPROM, and No battery, the memory is cleared.
