Looking for Surge Protection for 4-20ma

Zymax ZD33 is a good choice.

I use them for long loops, river/reservoir level sensors mostly.

I spoke with the designer a while back, Zymax are good like that, and discovered that each channel, typically supply and signal return, is in fact identical so if you have three sensors out in the wild they can be protected with two units.
24VDC and three returns, at both ends obviously.

Prices are as good as I have found, circa £60 in the UK, and although we have lost a couple over the years the attached kit almost always survived.

Started using them about 5 years ago after loosing 4 transmitters in 6 weeks at a particularly exposed site, havent replaced a transmitter or IP card since and only replaced one Zymax.
They do a full range, coms (various) and power.

Delivery can be a little slow but Park electrical Services seem to get them fairly quickly at a good price. Buying direct is an option.

Hope that helps
