download Microwin program using an MPI cable?

Hy Sirs, we have the following plc: CPU 214 DC 6ES7 214-1AC01-0XB0 . Can we download the Microwin program using an MPI cable? Or do we have to use the PPI cable? Thanks

ys u can download s-7 200 using mpi cable

just see the setting in set pg/pc interface and do the download.

but in the attached you sent, it is mentioned PPI ?

It is a PPI setup (Point to Point).
As long as you have the MPI cable you are good to go

So, to summarize it:
1. Connect an mpi cable to the mpi port of the pg and to port0 of the plc
2. Choose “CP5611 (PPI)” or “PC/PPI cable (PPI)” in set pg/pc interface (which one is better?)
3. Set baudrate to 9.6 Kbps in properties of ppi

That's all ?

Also, check the "connections" within the MicroWin.
Make sure everything looks OK.

Depends on the cable you have...

There are some aftermarket MPI cables (Not made by Siemens) that will not work on the 200 series only the 300 series, they only have the MPI chip and not the 485 (PPI) this is to keep the cost low.
