How to download from PLC to PC SIEMENS S7-300,

Currently I using Siemens S7-300, I have 2 questions

Q1,
Communication timeout, how to solve the problem.

Q2,
Currently I don’t have back up program, so I need a program,
How to download from PLC to PC,

Please explain the procedure (Siemens S7-300 model)

Hi!

Do You have normal PC or are You using Siemens PG?
Which connection type You are using, mpi, profibus, LAN, other?
Some parameters at "Options" ->"Set PG/PC interface" must be incorrect.

To enable download, You need of course working online connection.
If using PG: easiest way to detect connection, is to set from "Options" ->
"Set pg/pc interface" CP5611 to AUTO.
Then click "properties" from cp5611 (auto).
Chooce "start network detection".
After scan, You will see which way You are connected and which speed.

If You manage to set online connection:

To upload "raw copy of PLC":
-Select from pull down menu: "File"-> "New" and create new project.
-At new project, Insert new object: S7 program.
-Click pull down menu "PLC"
-Select "Display accessible nodes".
After that, You'll see what PLC:s You have at network.
-Then You need to choose which node You want to upload to PC.
After selecting node, find Program folder, and drag all components to new project program folder.

Then at least You have backup of program and system data.

This is my way to do that, if I do not have original project.
