Rockwell Studio 5000

I am lookingfor confirmation of something. I have spoken to a supplier and they tell me if i buy the most recent version of studio 5000 it does NOT allow me to download previosu versions. But other sources have told me it will. Does anyone have experience of this? The supplier said in order to download previous versions i need a support contract and the cost is insane if that is true.

Best talking to Routeco in East Kilbride or Rockwell themselves.

But, get onto the website and download what you need/can, that is the definitive test...

As the chap says above, for Rockwell in the UK, you should go to Routeco.

If you go onto the Rockwell Knowledgebase, and search for Studio5000 download, there are a couple of articles on this :

635512 - Studio 5000 Software: Download Older Versions of Software, which shows you how to download versions from the current one to the earliest..

609227 - Downloading older revisions of Rockwell Software
- If the software serial number is currently covered under support contract you may download all versions of this software up to the latest one available
- If the software serial number is not covered under the support contract (serial number is out of support) it is possible to download only older versions of Rockwell Software up to the version that was purchased (or updated when serial number was in support)

so if you do not have the support, then you cannot download any newer versions, otherwise all older versions are available.
