1745-pcc-usb

I think in windows you can reserve COM1 so other devices will skip it, and let the newer smarter stuff use other COM numbers.

Hi Paul,

The reason I have to do this is to test the cables... serial and USB so I have to change the configure a lot, but I would like to give it to my customers

Thanks
Mark

Okay, my laptop icon Target field is:
"C:\Program FIles\DosBox-0.72\dosbox.exe" -conf"C:\Program Files\DosBox-0.72\dosbox.conf"

My dosbox.conf file has the mods required to use the serial port (serial1=directserial realport:com1). This may be different if you're using an after market device with a USB port.

Then at the end of the dosbox.conf file I added:
[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount s: c:\slc-150
s:
pcis

So, when I double click the icon, DOS box fires up with its config file which sets it up for use with a real serial port (in my case) and then mounts the folder "C:\SLC-150" as the s: drive, and starts PCIS.

Hope this helps.
Paul
