Hello all,

The PLC programmer I am working with has been designing a factory layout which is nearly complete. My own experience lies with application programming.

FactoryTalk View Studio ME is the edition of the software we're using.

We'd like to add into the display some audible alarms, and I have a number of questions related to this. Ideally I would like to play .wav files for alerts according to the events we're using.

Where should we be looking in order to accomplish this? It seems that nothing we have tried (simple .wav files, .exe programs triggering play-sound events, .ocx controls which launch sound files) is working.

Best regards,
