Adding DP to an S5 PLC rack using IM308C

I need to connect an S5-115U to a MP370 using a current loop connection (tty) using a S5 AS511 connection ?
I was wondering if I have to use any special FB's in the S5 plc program for proper communications ?
At the present time I am trying to figure out the easiest way to link a 115U-CPU943B PLC to an MP 370 and eventually to an S7 PLC. I could use a IM308C profibus module but at present there is a serial comm board in the last slot of the rack for an I/O extended. And I can't very well use the IM308C and the serial board at the same time without having to rebuild the PLC rack to a different configuration. Have any good ideas ?? Maybe the profibus is better than AS511...

Communication protocol from OP to S5-115U, I prefer like to use AS511 connection (if only one panel). Here comes my argumentations:
* Both connections (AS511 or Profibus) need at least one interface-DB and block call to standard communication-FB.
+ At profibus-connection: you must reserve some IO-area for OP (it allways goes to P-area) -> think you present IO-configuration.
+ At profibus-connection: The size of standard FB is three times bigger and slower than AS511. It needs the program memory almost 5kB -> do you have so much free space at RAM or (E)EPROM?
Of course, IM308C gives you benefits like, the system expandability (Q-area and distributed stations).
