Allen Bradley SLC 5/03 won't power on even there is Power supply.

Are you sure? did someone tell you this or did you see it? the battery light will not flash, when the battery is bad it will be solid, the light above the battery will flash and that means you have a recoverable fault

Watch out when plugging just anything into the RJ45 port on the PLC, it has 24 VDC and unless you are using a UIC or other device then you will blow up your other end (PC)

You can use a 1747-UIC for the DH485 (RJ45) port or a 1747-CP3 (null modem/cross over) cable on the RS232 BD9 port
Hi geniusintraining,

The battery is still ok. yes you are correct the fault indicator is flashing. I'm sorry for what I state from the first topic

Thank you for your advice.

and thank you all of you guys of what you share.

next time i will do extra careful na.

Actually I am just assisting the PLC programmer to troubleshoot this thing.

I want to ask something.
Is this the correct configuration of DH485 That will connect from the PLC slot of DH485 to connect to PC Male RS232 port? please check this link:

To geniusintraining, yes you are correct the fault indicator only is blinking, the battery is ok.

To Cowboy: sir the programmer brings this similar type of cable I thought it was the DH485 later after the PLC port smoked he said it was cable for laser scanner please check link below: This is the cable looks like a DH485

No to connect to the DH485 port you need the UIC convertor, there is no get around without a AB adapter of some type.
It is a DH 485 port not a serial port. NOTE the DH 485 not a RS 485 port. This is a special port for AB SLC that is why you need the adapter.
Without this adapter you need to connect to the RS232 port thru AB linx setup using a hard COM port on the laptop or a USB to serial adapter
