Recently I am facing an issue with the BFP Bently Nevada 3500 VMS cabinet I/O card burn issue.
Below is the system description :
1) Individual/overall screens of the TST (Twisted Shielded Triad) cable are well insulated with plastic tape under & above screen.
2) Individual/overall screens are grounded at motor JB & VMS cabinet end.
3) Cards are operating at 230VAC control voltage.
4) 230VAC-UPS supply is grounded at both UPS & VMS cabinet end.
5) VMS cabinet is placed in a temperature controlled E-room.
6) No fuses are there on the I/O cards - nor bunched nor individual. However, supplier indicates "Intrinsically safe" signal wiring.
Can anyone please help in identifying probable reason behind this I/O card burn issue ?
