Hi I am new to PLC's. I have been giving A CP1L Omron PLC, with CX rogrammer 9.2. I have tried to connect to the plc but keep getting "the selected port does not exist" My PC is at ip 192.168.250.10, The PLC is at Ip 192.168.250.1.

In cx programming I have tried both Ethernet and Ethernet(fins/tcp).

With Ethernet(fins/tcp) I have change the driver workstation node to 10 and the ip to 192.168.250.1 port 9600.

With ethernet I get failed to connect.

I can go to a webpage and enter 192.168.250.1:9600 and it downloads a file? I opened it with excel but it makes no sense.
Any help would be great.

Is it a CP1L-E with the built in Ethernet or are you using one of the add-on modules??
I currently have a CP1L-EL20 connected to my network with no problems. CX-Programmer is set to Ethernet with the correct IP address (192.168.0.100 in this case) and all the default settings.
