COMPACTLOGIX L35E comm Error

I have a problem and I can't find anything about it in the Rockwell Knowledge Base. The problem is that I am losing communication with a CompactLogix L35E processor. This is does not read any data from the processor, as if it were offline. But the processor doesn't show up RSLinx nor can I scan the backplane. I can't ping the processor either. the error message says "Failed to go online with controller. Unknown application framework subsystem error.

The processor is currently in a Major fault. While the PLC is experiencing a major fault condition it will not communicate.
