Control System Preservation during Shut down

There is a plant shutdown for around 5 months. We are planning to preserve the control system for maintenance reasons. Any standards for preserving the Control Systems?
I don't wish to remove each modules and preserve it individually as there will be a risk at start up.
 
I agree with Steve. Also check the dates on any devices with battery backup. You may want to replace the batteries before the shutdown.
