Control System Preservation during Shut down

There is a plant shutdown for around 5 months. We are planning to preserve the control system for maintenance reasons. Any standards for preserving the Control Systems?
I don't wish to remove each modules and preserve it individually as there will be a risk at start up.

Make backup copies of all programs before the shutdown. Make copious notes. Keep everything together in the same place.

I agree with Steve. Also check the dates on any devices with battery backup. You may want to replace the batteries before the shutdown.

You might want to think about putting some desiccant bags in the electrical enclosures to avoid problems with damp. Something like this:

It depends on the environment where you are.
