Hi,

I've been given the task of converting a B&R plc into a compactlogix, I have the source code *.PRG. Is there a quick/best practice way of doing this, or should i just trawl through the code and do a rung for rung conversion. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have a complete understanding of what it is currently doing(or a design spec)?

Usually doing a rung for rung conversion fails to take advantage of the control platform hardware's features. When we've done conversions from say, SLC to CompactLogix we usually end up writing a design spec based on the old program and then writing the new program from scratch using the spec.
