I would choose the Danfoss - but I would go for one of their HVAC units, which is more suited to a Fan application as opposed to the 'AQUA' series which is more suited to Pumps.
The HVAC series has selectable features like "fire mode" which in an emergency will ignore trips and keep the Fan running to keep air circulation going. Also the drive can be set up to automatically derate itself if it overheats, again to maintain air circulation.
We have used 2 of these drives in a Mine Ventilation Fan starter and have been 100% happy with the service and backup we got from Danfoss. In fact we have received a repeat order from the Customer for a second Fan starter with Danfoss drives.
With the Harmonics issue, we gave Danfoss the details of the power supply and they worked it out for us.
I'm sure there are other VSD's out there with similar and even additional features, but if you asked me to choose between Danfoss and Telemechanique for this application, I would choose the Danfoss.
My 5 cents worth, Tim.
