Hello all,

I want to immitate couple of rungs of the ladder on the panelview for troubleshooting purposes. Right now i have block transfers b/w the plc and the screen. I can get individual bits to the screen and use these tags to display the ladder, but i wanted to know if anyone is using anything like this.

Thanks,

what you can do is to display several tags in series on the screen and assign color for true or false for every tag, if all tags are true then everything is green and rung is excecuting completely.

Thanks for the reply,

I am at that stage right now. I have drawn out symbols to mimic the NO or NC. they go green when the corrosponding bit changes. So i can see if the rung is true if all the bits are green.

I was wondering if there is a better way that others have used

Only "automatic" way to do it I've ever seen is with the RSLadder plugin for RSView32, which doesn't help much because RSView32 is defunct and I'm pretty sure it's successor (FactoryTalk View) doesn't have anything like that.

I agree that RSLadder was pretty cool for its time, but it wasn't much of a seller and there's no modern equivalent.
