Download Recipes from PLC

Is there a way to download all recipes from the PLC using RSLogix or HMI to a single text or excel file for easy editing and later easy uploading?
Controller used : 1769-L24ER

Excel + VBA + RSLinx will allow you to do this. You can find example VBA code in the RSLinx help file. Scripting within an HMI will provide the results as well, methods would depend on the HMI you are using.

There is a ready to run example based on AdvancedHMI that shows how to transfer data between Excel and a Control/CompactLogix. It is complete with the drivers, so you do not need RSLinx or an OPC Server. You can find it at the link below under the name AdvancedHMIExcelSampleR1
