Hi,
Our customer has bought a machine a CNC wood cutting machine. It states that it need a seperate 16mm2 EMV"ground" in addition to our 5G16mm2 supply. It's no problem we have close to it. But I wonder why? Ive seen VFDs have a requirement of 16mm2 ground but that is only for the supply.

I have never seen this before and I find only little information about it. The installer said that this is mandatory and standard way to do it and it should always do like this because of high frequency noise. But that we in Sweden fail to do it.

Edit: also they stated that the impedance Ohm of this should be under 5 Ohm. That is very high and the power supply cable would also fulfill this

Thoughts?
