Good day,

Is there a separate memory allocated to the data logging points FactoryTalk View 1000 or is it one for everything?

I log 10 data tags (analogue and digital) every 1 min and want to know how many data points can be logged until memory is full.
Project size (.mer)=3Mb

Thanks,

Alex

I guess you're talking about PanelviewPlus 1000...

If you've a TechConnect contract, you can access the following technotes in RA Knowledgebase: https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36265
https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/114712
There are Data Logging Runtime Performances and Best Practices infos.
Basically, the max number of data points possible for Firmware 6.10 and below is 300,000 records, Firmware 7.00 has increased this to 1,000,000 records.
The max number of data points will consume ~ 4.5 Mb of internal storage space. The data log write buffer will also consume 4.5 MB of RAM.
