Good day all. Stupid question incoming (see my handle), but I can't seem to get this last step sorted.

Basic story: Ops ruined the PC we were using with FTView to run a basic 2 or 3 screen HMI, directly ported to the PLC. They use the Pc for the HMI, and for other software that runs the equipment in that room (Laser welders, in this case). So, they bought a new PC, and I pulled the recovery file. Now I have the recovery file open in studio, and I don't understand what to do from here. On the original PC, they have an icon on the desktop labeled LaserLabHMI that just opens FTView with the correct HMI, no file selection or anything. How did the previous integrator set that up? I can't seem to open the file on the new machine in anything but studio, but I have the exact same software installed on the new machine. (BTW, new machine is a Win10X64 virtual machine running on VMware with a Win11 host. This way the next time they fubar the SSD, I can just replace it and dump the snapshot on it).

What is the next step? How do I open the actual project live (not in studio) and make sure it's working with the PLC so I can test it and deploy it?

FTView suite 8.00.00 (same as original, no intention of upgrading, but I can if yall think it's really worth it. There's only one of these FTViews in my facility. everything else is physical HMIs or AutoDirect stuff.)
I have FTView Tools, services, etc. I installed nearly everything in the suite folder except the physical HMI stuff.

Thanks in advance, and remember, please explain it to me like I'm 5 years old. Cause I am...

If it's not immediately obvious to everyone, the OP's project is SE, not ME. So he's asking how to deploy a SE project. While I have some guesses, I don't use SE.

see if this worked: This is what I get when I try to test the file, or open FTView SE Client wizard.

As you can see, the file is there (EWI Laser Lab Phase 4), I can see screens, tag databases, comms, etc., but I *should* be able to click "Launch SE Client" and test the thing? What am I missing???

I "think" I tripped over the answer. I tried to just create a new one with the "New" tab on the pop-up above, and named it the same. That lead me to a process where it "Deployed" (if that's the right word) the project in FTView, and now I have a working HMI. I just need to move the machine into the Lab and test it. Once I do that, I will try and update this with better info for the next poor guy who has to do this...
