First time setting up [8x] powerflex drives. 400V 37(ND) up to 302(ND)
I have the standard NP params setup for each motor:
I'm now setting up the control parameters.
Each drive has:
The functionality i want is:
I have attached my current config, and gotchas or things I have missed would be appreciated! Drives should have power in the next few days so i can get testing.
Also included but not relevant for question:
Port 4 - input 3, Drive Enable signal from safety relay
Port 4 - out R0, Drive Fault status to PLC
Port 4 - out R1, Drive Running status to PLC

- NP Power
- NP FLA
- NP Freq
- NP RPM
- NP Volts
- Poles etc
I'm now setting up the control parameters.
Each drive has:
- 24V IO module 2262C-2R in Port 4.
- Input 0 - MAN signal from hardwried AUTO / MAN keyswitch on door
- Input 1 - RUN relay from PLC, or hardwired to MAN from keyswitch on door
- Input 2 - AUTO signal from hardwried AUTO / MAN keyswitch on door
- AnlgIn0 - 4-20mA from PLC output
- HIM wired into DPI port 2.
The functionality i want is:
- While keyswitch is in AUTO, drive takes speed reference 4-20mA from PLC. Scaled 0-50hz, but must be greater than 35Hz for motion. Run command comes from PLC relay
- While keyswitch is in MAN, drive takes speed setpoint from HIM on drive panel door. This will be bumpless transfer (copy auto speed ref into MAN speed ref while drive is running)
