Hi im doing a energy saving program for a lamp. And basically the instructions are to turn off the lamp if is not being used ....... but with no sensor.

the lamp have to turn off if one cycle of work have ended (this machine make the weld of a part of the car).

i need help to put that instruction, i have made the "waiting" with a TOF timer but i dont know where to put it in the main program of this weld cycle.

In ladder logic, the "where" something goes is not too important. Every rung is executed many times per second. You could put it near other code that is related to the lamp to keep things tidy. One thing to watch out for with a TOF is what happens when you first start up the PLC? Does the TOF.DN bit start high or low?

How will the PLC know the one "cycle of work is done" condition has been met?

Does the PLC control the welding process?
