I have several PanelView Plus 6 1000 that have the issue of the "White Screen of Death" the logic modules are testing out to be working.

We contacted our local AB rep. and was quoted repair service of about $2k below what the cost of a new PVP would be.

Can anyone recommend a repair service that won't break the bank?

Thanks

It doesn't help that that HMI has been "obsolete" for a while now. It would be cheaper to replace it with the PV5310 ($4800 vs $2360) . But its new software, with no upgrade path so screens would have to be re-created.

Well, these particular models have an "End of Life" discontinue date of Dec. 2021.

I was just wondering if anyone on this PLC forums would know of a decent repair shop that I could get a quote from for repairs.

Interesting about repairs, we used a company cannot remember it's name now but they were approved RW repair specialists, they were taken over by RW. I sent a PV550 back for repair & the quoted cost was £200 more than what I could buy one from our RW distributor (with our discount), did not make sense even though the PV was at that time still current.
Typical of RW overcharging.
We had it returned thinking we could possibly salvage some spares from it, turned out I found an old board form one that had been snapped in half, the faulty PV that was returned the PSU Transistor was blown apart, replaced it with the transistor from the broken board & put it back into service what a ripoff.

Would that be Lektronix? They are owned by Rockwell

The other day I had more than 5 PV700 with a bad display, Rockwell quote us US $1250 for each display, I found them thru Ali Express for US $250 each so I ordered 5 of them for the price one from Rockwell.
