Just to see if anyone else has done this or what your opinion is. I graduated in 2001 with an AAS in electronic engineering technology. I have been working for an intergrator for about 5 years now and have went to about every AB class there is and next week Ill be in Ohio to become System integrator certified from AB.

I have an opportunity for advancement in my company that would require me to become basically a salesman for servo applications and also help customers with programming and startup help. Im flattered that they came to me since there is other people with more experience then me.

I love being an intergrator and actually doing the programming and SCADA applications, but I don't know if Ill get burnt out on programming or if sales is even for me.

Well thanks for anyone's opinions on this subject.

seriously,,if it pays more why not give it try, if it doesn't work you can always go back, you wont actually "unlearn" anything in giving it a go.

Depends on your personality. If you are energetic and like talking with people, give it a try. Who knows? You might never want to go back to a desk afterwards..... I take it that you are young, and new at sales. It always seems to be the way you can advance.....and make lots of money. The money is in the sales, not the programming.
