As Jeremy pointed out earlier, the Rate parameter is the time from the start of one scan of the task until the start of the next scan. So it is how often the task is scanned. Since you are using a periodic task (now) that rate will be fixed and unchanging. It has absolutely nothing to do with the actual scan time of the logic.

It does in a sense. I only have one task (Main Task). With RATE, I (as you said) "pickup time from the start of one scan of the task until the start of the next scan". So should my task time ever overshoot it, that will be equivalent to the too high scan time.
