Logix5000 v19 fail to start

I have been trying to open a program from a L35E with v19 firmware, but it keeps hanging after the splash screen. Once I open the file and after a few minutes, the splash screen goes away and nothing else happens. In the Task Manager, it shows a component of RSLogix5000 is running and using ~30% of my CPU. I have left this for hours and no change. I can open other versions of Logix5000 with no problems, ie. v17, v18, v20. I have tried uninstalling v19 and reinstalling but the problem remains.
AB tech support says v19 is not supported anymore and that it is not supported on windows 10. They suggested using a VM or running the file on windows xp, sp3. Neither of those options are going to work for me.
I used a co-workers computer nearly identical to mine, and I was able to open the program with no issues.
I am using windows 10 pro on a good dell precision 3560.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"not supported anymore" is a cop out.

First thing to try is set the Windows UAC setting to the minimum on the slider bar. Go to the windows menu and type UAC > Change User Account Control Setting

Next thing I might try is finding the RSLogix5000 executable for v19 in the program files directory, open it directly instead of having the launcher open it.

Try setting the executable to run as administrator.

Lastly, I'll have have to dig it up, but there is a windows registry for disabling the RSLogix5000 startup screen. That has been the source of many crashes or failures to load. Edit: HKEY_Current_User\Software\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\Start Page

I will give those a try, thanks. I already tried opening v19 directly as an admin in the program files with no change.

"Not supported" is quitter talk. I understand why tech support take that line, but it's disappointing.

I have installed v19 on Windows XP SP2, Windows XP SP3, Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, and Windows 11 ARM. I got version 10 installed on there as well. It can be done!

Here's a couple of my threads detailing my efforts at getting things working. If the myriad of solutions above don't help you out, maybe you'll find something helpful in there?

I can't, the software is expensive and so is tech support. There are a bunch of technotes on this issue that are behind the paywall.

Thanks everyone for the help.
After all the suggestions I am still not able to get v19 to work. I even went so far as to delete all versions of logix5000 and start over by installing from v13. When I get to v19, it hangs on a portion of the install saying there is a newer version of something installed. I click ok but it never advances from there. I dont remember the specifics on this. All other versions install and function correctly.
Hoping that I dont run into v19 anytime soon.

Try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\Studio 5000\Logix Designer\ENU\v19\Bin and setting the "Compatibility Mode" on LogixDesigner.exe to "Windows Vista"

Well, if you can get 19 installed again that is.

Which version of 19 are you installing, and which program was it installing when it gave that error?

It works perfectly fine on my Windows 10 and windows 11 VM's so that's horse hockey for support to give up like that.

Compatibility mode did not work.
I am installing v19.01.

Here is where it hangs up on install. 'A newer release of RSLogix 5000 setup installer was found. Exiting.' It will sit for hours and never advance. I finally have to exit, but it shows up under my installed programs.
