Micrologix 1500 Node address

Has anyone found a way to change the node address of Channel 1 via ladder logic or writing to a memeroy location configured as a DF1 half duplex slave? It is a real pain to have to download a program just to change node address.

I don't know of a way to change the node address of channel 1 thru ladder code. But you can change it online, no download required.
I did this thru channel 0 ( very quick). I also did it thru channel 1 ( configured for DF1 slave with RSlinx configured for DF1 Master. It did it but very slow.
