Hi All,
Onboard our ship, we have anumber of cranes that are PLC controlled. One of the S7-300 modules for crane loading is of course a Siwarex U unit. (7MH4601-1AA01)
We recently had a suspected failure of one of these and the supplied spare was part number 7MH4950-1AA01. It specifically stated on the box that it was a replacement part for the previous model. However, there was a very specific notice in the box stating that the new unit was 6V and NOT 10V.
Does anyone know why Siemens decided to go this route and what the implications are of using this?
We haven't inserted the module yet because we want to be sure it does what it is supposed to.
Many thanks,
Shaun.
