Hi,

I have an OMRON CP1E PLC, it already has a program inside however i want to put a new program in it. Is there anything i have to do e.g. erase programs on the PLC before i put my new program in. If so how would i do that?

Cheers
James

Welcome to the site
There is a slight possibility that some of the DM6000 areas might have data in them.
But normally when you replace a program these are cleared.

Jamest6,

You can first upload and save the existing ladder program, settings, symbols, comments and program index. Also upload data memory (D area) and save. Then you can download the new program, settings and data. If you are sure that you don't need the backup then you can directly download the new program, settings and data.
