Hi everyone,
I am working on a project to protect program memory on Omron CP series PLCs.
there is several ways to write protection that i've read on manual.
I'll use dip switch SW1 on to protection. But i want to know what is the setting of SW1 currently without editing attempt. so, is there a bit address to SW1's status on memory? I can't find out on manual.
Thanks in advence

I've checked already these addresses. Nothing changed when push the SW1 to On in A99. These addresses about the read/write protection with PLC setting method

Nothing changed when push the SW1 to On in A99.

I just tested a CP1H and a CP1L with the same results.

I found this in the CP1H manual. Essentially the same thing but a little more descriptive.

I verified that setting UM write protection by password sets bit A99.02. DIP SW1 does not.

Sorry, I only confirmed your results, but at least you know your PLC is not broken.

Thank you for your interest. I could not find the SW1 address in the user manual of the CJ series either. If the cx-programmer gives an online edit error when the write protection is active with the dip switch setting, then I think there must be an address in the memory related to the dip switch status. I also wrote to MyOmron Support, I hope they respond
