I run Online Armor free firewall by Tallemu on my desktop, and it is constantly blocking adobe this that and the other. Yahoo is just as bad, but windozer media player is the worst offender.
All of these programs take every opportunity to turn on web related services and all of them are sneaky in my opinion too.
With my wi-ex booster and a bandwidth in the range of 3kbits/sec, I can't afford every program on my machine to go stumbling out on the www looking to see what it can find to trip up my machine in order to sell me something...
Now, with the new yagi antenna I can hit 3G towers further away, but the firewall settings are still restrict all those ad managers and manage to keep me from having my computer usage "experience unexpectedly enhanced"...
