Besides plctalk.net and Google, which web sites to you visit ALL THE TIME! I'm not really counting service sites like: ebay, amazon, hotmail, etc and not that interested in hearing about news sites: CNN, etc.

I find myself frequenting the following sites way too much: Slashdot, Toms Hardware, Control.com, MrPLC, and various Ducati websites and forums.

What about you?

Its been football all my life, I don't intend to change ;).

I was in Baltimore recently and asked some locals a few questions.

1. Why do you call your game football? when you don't use the foot too often. You throw it a bit like rugby, but cheat and always do forward throws!

2. In this game you call football (but don't use feet), you run over the line and cry 'touchdown' BUT nobody actually touches the ball down! Not like in rugby where they do have to touch down, in rugby they call it a try, but to me it looks like they succeeded! :D.

In the end, they agreed, they pinched the ideas from us.

Oh, boo hoo! I'm content to call "Soccer", "Football", but you're not going to convince Americans to call "Football" anything else!

In the Navy we refer to that as "Nuc'ing it" - taking something way to literally or overcalculating to a rediculous extent that defies everyday logic. You're not going to win that arguement - sorry!

I'd love to! I just went rafting for the first time in about 6 years. I'm not sure where it was, a few hours out of Seoul in South Korea. It wasn't a very challenging course, probably barely a 3, but still a lot of fun.

For some reasons inserting images doesn't work for me! They show up ok in the viewer. It may be the long file path.

These are the most useful in my life:

http://boatertalk.com/frames.php?forumid=BoaterTalk
http://www.professorpaddle.com/
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/current/?type=flow&group_key=basin_cd

For work purposes I monitor http://forums.mrplc.com/ also. I also monitor the technotes from the equipment manufufacturers that I use on a regular basis at their websites.

If anyone else is into whitewater send me a PM if you will be in the Seattle area and want to sample the goods.
