Im trying to communicate with a 27711-b6c5 panelview 600 color but not having any luck. Ive tried point to point and RS links path still no luck.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

are you using an rs232 port on your PC? or a usb to RS232 adaptor?

If you are using an adaptor, verify which comport you are on. If the Panel Builder software recognizes the adaptor, it should give you an option for the point to point on that com

i.e DF1 point to point --- internal com 3

This is in addition to DF1 point to point RSlinxAB_DF1

Your PanelView has a RS232 port with DH485 protocol.
To communicate with the PV you can use the 1747-PIC/AIC+ driver with a straight thru cable connected to your serial port on your PC/laptop. You will need a real serial port to use this driver. A USB to serial adapter will not work with this driver.

Another option is to purchase a 1747-UIC ( USB to DH485 converter).
