Is there any way of deleting a password protected mitsubishi fxo plc using melsec medoc?

It was password protected by an ex-employee, I'm not too bothered about the program, just need the plc for another project.

I'll admit to not knowing much about that model. Can you remove the battery and let it sit unpowered overnight? That should clear the RAM, although the program could be stored in flash memory.
Can you start a new project and download a blank program or do you need to enter the password for the existing program to get that far?
