PLC Training Manchester

Hi, does anyone know if there is PLC training courses available in Manchester the UK and if so where and when they are held?

Thanks for your response. I would actually be interested in General PLC courses but specific manufacturers would also be good to know about as well to explore options.

There are plenty of companies who will do training but they usually run a course to suit the customers needs rather than running specific courses at fixed times.

Siemens have a training centre in Manchester, ABB (that is ABB not AB) are in Warrington which is about 30mins down the motorway.

In Manchester we have the excellent UMIST University, but I couldn't find any PLC related courses.

I did an Industrial Electronics / PLC course at a local college, but that was in the days when we used punched tape to load in programs.

The Manchester Metropolitan University also does a few relevant courses, mainly Profibus/net, but also a general IEC61131 PLC code course.

Sorry for the OT but you woke up loads of memories.

I did both my Beng and MSc in UMIST. Does UMIST still exist as an independent university? I thought it was merged with the University of Manchester. I Remember when I finished my MSc in 2004 we were asked what we wanted typed on our degree, UMIST or University of Manchester. Of course I chose UMIST.
I am grateful and proud that I was educated there.

It apparently ceased to exist as a separate University in 2004. You can tell that I keep up to date with local news, I was only 11 years out!!
